Star City Compost offers Roanoke residents and businesses a simple way to keep food scraps out of landfills and return them to the soil. We are a worker-owned, ecologically driven business created to strengthen the local food system. We operate a facility with five aerated static compost bunkers capable of producing over 780 cubic yards of compost each year.
